Our Residential
Services
With
more than 25 years of experience in Connecticut, we can help you with
these and other residential services:
- Driveway paving—Depending
on the condition of your driveway, we will recommend
whether your driveway can be overlaid or needs
replacement*. If replacement is needed, we will
remove your driveway and haul it away for re-cycling.
Then we will re-set the base, adding a layer of stone
as needed to provide 4-6 ” of processed
stone base. After the stone is compacted, your driveway
will be machine paved with 2” of compacted asphalt.
If an overlay is to be done, 1 1/2" to 2"
of compacted asphalt will be paved over your existing
driveway. *A proposal will be given detailing the scope of recommended work. The above is only a general specification.
The ABC's Of Driveway Paving
- Drainage and excavation—If
water on or under your driveway is a problem, we can
build exit drains to move water away from these problem
areas where possible.
- Driveway sealing—We don’t
offer this service, but this is an easy job for homeowners
to do themselves. Excellent step by step instructions
are available at http://latexite.com/howto.html.
What can you expect when M &S Sealing paves your
driveway?
We will contact you to schedule a date for the work.
If we are completely removing your old driveway, we
will most likely remove the old asphalt and prepare
the base on the same day. We usually will let the newly
prepared stone base sit for about a month. We encourage
that you use your driveway as you normally would. The
compaction from your vehicles is beneficial to the final
outcome – a driveway is only as strong as the base it’s
constructed on. We will contact you again prior to the
paving to schedule a date. On the day of the paving,
we need all vehicles removed from the driveway, and
we ask for the garage door to be left open. This helps
us to work from inside as we pave this area. Once we
have completed the paving, we will barricade the opening
and ask that no vehicles enter for at least 3 days.

We regret that we do not provide residential paving from our Danbury Location.
